The truth of war

those who died are those of a perfect patriotism, and yet their voices go unheard by the living. there is a silent reckoning, which only the dead can hear. for them, an everlasting peace has been achieved only through the act of dying at war. for us, we argue much, sacrifice little, and achieve nothing compared to these men.
